You must be very excited on the first day. So, we are going to start with a city tour in Lima. Here you will be able to visit Parque del Amor, Larcomar, and Huaca Pucllana. We will show you the legendary Pisco Sour and San Francisco’s catacombs. At the end of the day, you will know about Peru’s mixed cultural heritage.

The second day, we will drive south to Paracas. We will bring you to the Ballestas Islands on a boat. This area is where the penguins and sea lions live. You can see the Candelabro geoglyph here as well. Then we can go to Ica and provide you with some local food. After that, it will be on to Huacachina Oasis for dune buggy rides and sandboarding.

Day three is when we will be departing for Cusco. Cusco was the capital of the ancient Inca Empire. We will be visiting it all: Qorikancha, Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puca Pucará, and Tambomachay. All these sites will show us the engineering of the Incas.

On the fourth day, the Sacred Valley will be our destination. Now explore Chinchero, Moray, and Salineras of Maras with over 3,500 salt pools. We have a nice buffet lunch in Urubamba. After this buffet, we move to the Ollantaytambo fortress. Today you will travel by train to Aguas Calientes.

It’s day 5, which means we will finally arrive in Machu Picchu. We will take you to its sanctuary by bus and tour it in all its beauty. Here you can watch the Sun Temple, holy plazas, and terraces.

A hike to the Humantay Lake will be the start of our sixth day. You will start from Soraypampa and hike for about 1.5 hours. Here you are going to see blue water against snowy mountains. It will be a beautiful sight, one that does not waver.

Day seven, why not take a hike over to the Rainbow Mountain? Our team will take you on a drive to Cusipata and hike for 1.5 hours. We will have multicoloured slopes and Ausangate Glacier views at an elevation of 5,200 meters.

The eighth day is a free day in Cusco. You can relax, do some handicrafts shopping, or explore the streets. At the appointed time, you can depart for the airport.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Lima – City Tour

We will arrive at Jorge Chávez International Airport in Lima, where our representative will greet us with a sign. We will transfer to our hotel for a short rest. In the afternoon, we will begin our Lima city tour.

We will visit the Parque del Amor in Miraflores and enjoy spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean coastline. We will continue to Larcomar, a modern shopping and entertainment complex built on cliffs. Next, we will visit Huaca Pucllana, a pre-Inca adobe pyramid in the heart of the city.

Later, we will enjoy a Pisco Sour demonstration, tasting Peru’s most famous drink. We will then visit the Convent of San Francisco and its catacombs. We will end the day with a return to our hotel.

Day 2: Paracas, Ica, and Huacachina

We will admire sea lions, Humboldt penguins, pelicans, and marine biodiversity. On the way, we will observe the Candelabro, a massive geoglyph etched on the desert hill. After the excursion, we will travel to Ica for a traditional lunch.

In the afternoon, we will head to the Huacachina Oasis, a desert paradise surrounded by golden dunes. We will ride powerful dune buggies across the sand and try sandboarding. Free time will allow us to relax by the oasis or explore on foot. At night, we will return to Lima.

We will visit Qorikancha, also known as the Temple of the Sun. The site reveals the impressive fusion between Inca foundations and Spanish architecture. Next, we will explore Sacsayhuamán, a ceremonial fortress with enormous stone walls.

We will continue to Q’enqo, an Inca sanctuary with carved altars and tunnels. Afterward, we will visit Puca Pucará, a small fortress, and Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to water. We will return to Cusco and end the tour near the Plaza de Armas.

At noon, we will enjoy a Novo-Andean buffet lunch in Urubamba. In the afternoon, we will explore Ollantaytambo fortress, a strategic Inca citadel. In the evening, we will board the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.

Day 5: Visit to Machu Picchu

Our expert guide will lead us through Machu Picchu for two hours. We will discover the Temple of the Sun, the Intihuatana, and the Sacred Plaza. Each corner will reveal the genius of Inca engineering.

We will take unforgettable photos of the citadel and surrounding peaks. If we have permits, we may hike Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. Afterward, we will return to Aguas Calientes for lunch. In the afternoon, we will take the train back to Ollantaytambo and return to Cusco.

We will enjoy free time for photos and rest. After snacks, we will descend and return to Soraypampa. Later, we will have lunch and return to Cusco.

At 5,200 meters above sea level, we will reach the summit. We will marvel at the mountain’s red, yellow, and turquoise stripes. We will also admire the Ausangate Glacier, Cusco’s highest peak. After photos, we will descend, enjoy lunch in Cusipata, and return to Cusco.
