Itinerary

Pickup from your hotel in Cusco between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m. to begin the journey toward the northwestern part of the region.

Travel by tourist shuttle for approximately 2.5 hours to the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy breakfast and stock up on any last-minute essentials for the hike.

We continue by vehicle for an hour and a half along a dirt road until we reach Soraypampa (12,795 ft), the starting point of the hike.

Ascent of approximately 1.5 to 2 hours along a mountain trail, surrounded by spectacular views of the Salkantay and Humantay glaciers, as well as a great diversity of Andean flora and fauna.

Arrival at the lake located at 13,780 ft. Time to enjoy the landscape, take photos, and listen to the guide’s explanation regarding its glacial origin and cultural significance.

Descent along the same trail back to Soraypampa, where our transportation will be waiting.

Return to Mollepata to enjoy a satisfying lunch before heading back to Cusco.

Arrival in the city at approximately 6:00 p.m., concluding the tour near the Plaza de Armas.
