Hotel pick-up between 6:30 and 7:00 am to begin the tour of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. The first stop is in Chinchero to visit the royal estate of Inca Tupac Yupanqui, its main square, and the colonial temple. We continue to Moray, an Inca agricultural experimentation center featuring circular terraces, followed by a visit to the Maras Salt Mines, known for their stunning landscape and historical significance. We then descend into the valley to enjoy a buffet lunch in Urubamba. In the afternoon, we arrive at Ollantaytambo to explore its fortress, temples, and stone water channels. Transfer to the station for a 2-hour train ride to Aguas Calientes for an overnight stay. Estimated activity time: 10 hours of touring and guided visits.

Early breakfast at the lodging. A 30-minute bus ride uphill to the Machu Picchu citadel to begin a guided tour of approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, followed by the descent back to Aguas Calientes.
