Itinerary

Pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 4:00 a.m. via private transportation to begin the journey toward the southern part of the region.

Approximately a 3.5-hour drive to the province of Sicuani, where we will enjoy breakfast to fuel up for the day.

Continuation of the trip for 1 more hour to the Layo district, where the bus ride concludes.

Beginning of a 3-mile (5 km) trek, lasting approximately 1.5 hours, to the Pallay Punchu Mountain of Apu Tacllo, located at 15,715 ft (4,790 m) above sea level.

Time to admire the majesty of the site, explore its landscapes, and capture photographs of the colorful mountain slopes.

Leisurely hike back to Layo, followed by a bus transfer to Sicuani to enjoy a traditional buffet lunch.

Return trip via private transportation to Cusco, with an estimated arrival at your hotel in the evening, concluding this unforgettable adventure.

Recommendations

We recommend arriving in Cusco at least 2 days in advance to acclimate to the altitude. Bring comfortable hiking clothes, sunscreen, a hat, and a reusable water bottle.
