Itinerary

Pickup at 6:00 am and transfer by tourist transportation for approximately 4 hours to the point known as Helipuerto. Safety briefing before beginning a 3-hour downhill mountain bike ride on paved roads to the Huaman Marka Inca complex. Continue by transport to Santa Maria for lunch and check-in at a local guesthouse. In the afternoon, river rafting activity in the Sacred Valley river (Class III and IV).

Breakfast followed by an uphill hike through the tropical jungle toward Santa Teresa. Stops along the way to learn about local plantations. Visit to a family home for a rest, hydration, and a tasting of tropical fruits. Hike along a recently discovered section of the original Inca Trail. Descent to Quellomayo for lunch and a break in hammocks. Final 2-hour walk to the Cocalmayo hot springs to enjoy the relaxing waters. Transfer to Santa Teresa for an overnight stay in a basic guesthouse.

In the morning, optional canopy or ziplining activity. Transfer to Hidroelectrica for lunch. A 3-hour hike following the train tracks, observing banana and avocado plantations and other tropical crops, with views of Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu, and Putucusi. Arrival in Aguas Calientes, check-in at the hostel, and time for a shower and rest. Special dinner at a local restaurant and a briefing regarding the visit to Machu Picchu.

Departure at 4:30 am to ascend on foot for 1 hour to Machu Picchu. Return to Machu Picchu Pueblo to board the tourist train to Ollantaytambo. Transfer by private transportation to Cusco, arriving approximately in the evening.
