Meeting Point

Pick up from your hotel in Cusco between 04:00 and 05:00 a.m. to begin the trip northwest of the region.

Transfer to Mollepata

Travel by tourist transport for about 2.5 hours to the town of Mollepata, where we will enjoy breakfast and purchase any last-minute supplies needed for the hike.

Transfer to Soraypampa

Continue by vehicle for 1.5 hours along a dirt road until reaching Soraypampa (3,900 m), the starting point of the hike.

Hike to Humantay Lake

Ascent of approximately 1:30 to 2 hours along a mountain trail, surrounded by spectacular views of the Salkantay and Humantay snow peaks, as well as a wide variety of Andean flora and fauna.

Humantay Lake

Arrival at the lake, located at 4,200 m. Time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs, and listen to the guide’s explanation about its glacial origin and cultural significance.

Return to Soraypampa

Descent along the same trail back to Soraypampa, where our transport awaits.

Lunch in Mollepata

Return to Mollepata to enjoy a hearty lunch before heading back to Cusco.

Return to Cusco

Arrival in the city at approximately 6:00 p.m., ending the tour near the Plaza de Armas.
