Detailed Itinerary

Meeting Point

Pick up from your hotel in Cusco between 04:00 and 04:30 a.m. to begin the trip south of the region.

Transfer to Cusipata

Travel by tourist transport for approximately 1.5 hours to the district of Cusipata, where we will enjoy breakfast before continuing.

Transfer to Sangarará

We continue by vehicle for an additional 30 minutes until reaching the town of Sangarará, a key point on the route to Waqrapukara.

Road to Punta Carretera

Travel on an unpaved zigzag road for about 30 minutes until reaching Punta Carretera (starting point of the hike).

Hike to Waqrapukara

Approximately 2-hour descent (8 km), passing through Andean landscapes and canyons until reaching the archaeological complex of Waqrapukara.

Guided Visit to Waqrapukara

Exploration of the archaeological site with our guide, who will explain its historical and cultural relevance. Free time to explore and take photos.

Box Lunch

We will enjoy a box lunch surrounded by a unique natural environment.

Return to Punta Carretera

Hike back along the same route, with an uphill ascent of approximately 2 hours until reaching the transport.

Return to Cusco

Return trip to the city, with estimated arrival around 7:00 p.m., ending near the Plaza de Armas.
